A new name, built on a lot of experience
Derby Gutters is a new business — but it isn't a new pair of hands. It's run by Stephen Fudge, who has spent more than 25 years in professional exterior cleaning, and who started Derby Gutters to do one thing properly: clean gutters across Derby honestly, safely and with proof of the work.
There are plenty of people who'll lean a ladder against your house, clear what they can reach and send you an invoice. We wanted to build something better than that for Derby — a local gutter cleaning service where the work is done from the ground without ladders, the price is agreed up front, and you get a video showing the gutter before and after, so you never have to take our word for it.
Because the brand is new to Derby, you won't find years of reviews here yet — our first five-star Google review came in this September, and we'd rather build the rest the same honest way than pretend otherwise. What's behind it is a quarter of a century of exterior-cleaning experience and a simple promise: every job is done the way we'd want it done on our own home.

Stephen has worked in professional exterior cleaning for over 25 years. Earlier in his career he worked as a Local Authority Cleaning Inspector — a role that meant judging whether cleaning work met a required standard, day in and day out. That background is the reason Derby Gutters works the way it does: an inspector's eye for whether a job is actually finished, not just started.
When you book Derby Gutters, Stephen is the person who turns up and does the work — not a subcontractor, not a rotating crew. He runs the business hands-on, which means one consistent standard on every property and someone who'll tell you honestly if your gutters don't actually need doing yet. A camera on the pole records the gutter before and after, so you can see exactly what was cleared. We send the footage over the same day — easiest by WhatsApp given the file sizes — even if you weren't watching.

We agree the price before we start — no call-out fees, no travel charges, no "while we're up there" surprises. Most firms quote in private; ours are published. If something needs attention beyond a clean, we'll photograph it and tell you, with no pressure to act.

Our SkyVac runs off mains power, so we need access to an outdoor socket or a plug just inside. It's a small ask that lets us clean thoroughly and quietly — and you don't need to do anything once we're set up.
